I was so excited I just had to share this experience I had today....I thought my #2 guitar sounded decent, but I decided to take the guitar to a couple of local guitar shops today to see/hear how it stacked up to their inventory(a dozen or so $1500-$5000 guitars were involved) (gulp!). Anyway, I asked the guys to play their favorite store models, then asked them to play and compare my guitar to those, surprise, surprise...they all thought mine sounded better(sounded that way to me too), now that was cool!! Their comments were.....my guitar had more volume, crisper/better projection, balanced, and beautiful tone. Now I know there are zillions of guitars that will sound better than this one, but it seems as though this one is at least better than average, I'm happy!

Have any of you guys done this out of curiosity? I figured I'd learn in a hurry if this one was any good.

Greg, you old trickster! That's excellent! Took a lot of nerve, but that's the way to find out quickly how you're doin'. Now give it to some pro players and ask them what they DON'T like about it!

It would be nice to do a blind test - or not.....

Actually that would have been a great idea...unless they liked another guitar better...I'm not going back to test it out, HeHeHe!

Thanks Dave, I was thrilled that's for sure, but realistic as well, I know if I went into a high-dollar guitar store it may have been a different story...But it was fun anyway! O.K., so the guitars that were played with mine were 6 Taylors(various models and woods), 5 Larrivee,4 Martin,1 Guild(surprisingly good), 3 Tacoma Custom Shop(good as well), 5 High-dollar Breedloves. I think that covers it, so yeah it was fun but these may not have been the best group of challengers.

Greg, my friend, they were plenty good to put up against a #2 guitar! The fact that yours came out as a favorite says a lot. I'd wait until at least #4 to go up against the $5K instruments.

Greg,I agree with Carlton that those guitars you went up against were fine instruments for your #2 to come out on top!Again...WTG Very impressive.
